Went there for food. The food was good.. Very Lively Cantina Bar..Fun place.. Will return.

Food is really good but getting to expensive all of the sudden.

Food was amazing! I ordered the mole enchiladas, the portion size was good for $14. The enchiladas had a good amount of chicken. My kids (2,,3,6) loved the food as well. Kids combo are $7 and portions are like for an adult. My lady got the chilaquiles and she absolutely recommends the cafe de olla. We will definitely be going back to try other items on the menu.

I usually judge a Mexican restaurant by it's rice and beans even though the rice was ok the chorizo beans were great. The Tacos and the cheese enchiladas were really good as well. Service was a little slow but the place is a nice setting.

Food was great. Maybe the best meat I ever ate in a Mexican restaurant. Margaritas were pretty good also. Interior has a cozy feel to it. Very nice experience.

I was skeptical at first because the restaurant looks dark from outside. The fish was a little over cooked but still pleasant to eat. It has a nice balance of seasoning and fits nice with the rice. I don't care for thousand island dressing so that's no fault to the restaurant. The veggies were a tiny bit bland, and tasted off to me, but I'm over all satisfied with the dish. If anything I would suggest dressing options upon ordering. Other than that, it's a good place for a quick lunch. Service was faster than most places I eat at so bravo. ☺

Very good food and great service

I love the complimentary chips and salsa they give before the meal. There's not very many vegetarian options here, but the few that they have are really good. And this is a Grill after all, so the fact that I could find anything without meat in the dish made me happy. This is the chile relleno and cheese enchilada plate. So much food! Especially after a smashing a couple of baskets of chips. I couldn't finish it so I had a good lunch the day after.

Not that impressed with the food, I ordered a quesadilla and was ok, my wife ordered tacos al governador and these were greasy and the taste was ok. At the time they had a guy playing a guitar and singing, but because of the openness of the place it sounded as if he was blasting, and had a impossible time having a conversation with the other people on our table.

I have been in San Diego for 5 days this trip and I've eaten tacos once a day and this place had the best ones. Thank you

Went there for dinner Saturday night 11/08/19 there was a waiting time my girl friend and I decided to wait at the bar instead of waiting sitting by the door. After 15 min of waiting I asked the old guy which was the host How much time more which he reply with nasty attitude to wait he will let us known, we continue waiting and watch other parties the come after us to be sitting, we finished our drinks and decided to leave the bar a after 45minute if waiting. In our wait out we tell him thank you, and he replyed “quien entiende a las viejas” I/we do not appreciate his attitude and nasty customer services, so we ended having dinner at black angus.

Good authentic Mexican food..

The food was good the wait staff don't check to see if everything is ok Once you receive your food the wait staff ignore until time to pay

Great food and environment, everytime we come out to San Diego we have to eat here.

Clean place, mice decor, good ambiance, happy hour is ok, food is tasty, salsa is hot and tasty, meat was fresh and tender, I wish I could get more than 3 tortillas per plate, toilets are super clean waitress and hostes are preetty and presentable, I would return.

This please is a good place to eat, servers are always there to help and make you feel like at home when you're here. It gets crowded at night around dinner time, especially during the weekends. One of their sauces is spicy 🌶️🌶️ so be warned

The food price went up and the size servings got smaller. Taste ok.

Well in my opinion it's good.... if anyone go there make sure you sit, at the dinning room, because they have at the bar side too, but the service is really bad.... for men is ok, but if you go with family I'm not recommend .......

Sad to say but I don't think I'll be back. As soon as we got the check waiter came by an said sorry we need the table and took one of the tables and 2 chairs ... UNBELIEVABLE !! We were still sitting and trying pay the check. NEVER again!

This review is mostly for the security guard on the premises. How is security taking up a handicapped parking spot? Not only is he taking up a spot meant for disabled people, he nicked our car and instead of saying sorry. He says "see. I hit your car. Should have closed your door. But its ok." In a slightly rude tone. He did that after asking us to close our driver door which our door was not in the way nor the part of the car he hit which was near the rear close to our trunk, which I feel he did on purpose. Luckily there was no dent or scratch but the guy seriously needs a new job like a janitor.The food and service are fine but the music is a bit loud for my taste. Hard to order food if the waiter and or waitress cannot hear me. I literally had to yell in her ear just to ask for Enchiladas.If i come back ill be sure to come during the day. Hopefully its not as loud and there aren't security guards who have an attitude that go and hit your car for no reason.

1st timer at La Quinta Grill and ordered a Carne Asada Quesadilla$15 for the regular size quesadilla that at other places i can get that same size for about $9.50 and with sourcream a dollar more and will taste the same or better... I WOULDN'T RETURN AT THOSE PRICES. NEVER AGAIN

Food is good. Not many vegetarian options but they try to accommodate.

Food was nicer to look at then it was to eat. I guess I prefer authentic Mexican cuisine as opposed to Tex Mex. Food was bland and it lacked flavor. Nice place to get together with friends and enjoy a sports bar atmosphere. I'll pass on the food and just go for happy hour drinks with chips and salsa. Very good Margaritas. I recommend those.

My quesadilla de pollo asado was delicious packed with so much chicken, it also came with guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. And my son had the chicken strips with fries! Also delicious 😊 our servers (Ivan, didn't catch the name of others)were so polite and on top of our whole party been here more than once always happy with the service😊

My wife and I visited La Quinta Grill on a Sunday for dinner. I had the carne asada plate and my wife some menudo. The menudo was great while the carne asada was only good nothing special. One thing that they need improvement on is service. When we finished our dinner we asked multiple waiters for our check as we had to leave in a hurry and everybody kept on saying yes we will bring it in a second but just forgot about us every time. I had to get up and ask the lady up front by the door for our check because everybody chose to ignore us. Hope they improve on this. Minus 2 stars for service. We will be back and hope our experience is better.

Eating at La Quinta Grill is a treat every time. Service is good, the place is clean, the Food is flavorful and plenty. The noise can be overwhelming sometimes, but still an enjoyable outing.

Awesome location and the food was amazing.

My husband and I went there on a Monday evening the atmosphere was delightful, he ordered the surf and turf burrito it was huge and delicious! I ordered the chicken chimichanga it was also enormous and delicious. Would definitely recommend the price was very reasonable, and it felt clean

It is so good , the food and the service is the best

Great service and food. The staff was very friendly. It was our first time there, probably not the last. The Wife especially enjoyed her margarita ( "Much better than others I've had recently." ) and I found the fish w/ mushroom sauce delightful.
